The short answer

CodeTwo Email Signatures 365 is cheaper than Opensense at every size up to 500 users. On annual billing, 100 users pay $1,332 a year for CodeTwo and $6,000 for Opensense, which is $4,668 more. Opensense earns the premium if you run Google Workspace, want scheduled banner campaigns tied to CRM data, or need a named account manager. If you run Microsoft 365 only and want a signature tool at a fair rate per mailbox, CodeTwo is the better buy.

How the gap closes as you grow

Each pair of bars is one company size on annual billing, drawn to the same scale. Opensense bills the $500 monthly minimum, $6,000 a year, until the headcount passes 500. CodeTwo steps down its rate as you add licenses, so the gap shrinks from $5,634 at 25 users to $1,620 at 500.

CodeTwo vs Opensense cost at eight team sizes

Opensense prices every signature plan at the larger of users times rate or $500 a month, so the Opensense column is flat across this range. CodeTwo is priced per license and also sells monthly licenses at about 10 percent more.

CodeTwo figures from the CodeTwo Email Signatures 365 pricing page, read October 19, 2026, per license per month times twelve. Opensense figures from opensense.com/pricing, $1 per user a month on the Signature plan with a $500 a month minimum and a platform license it does not price, read November 1, 2026. Opensense's $3 and $5 plans carry the same minimum. Each vendor's own breakdown is in CodeTwo pricing and Opensense pricing.

Which is cheaper, CodeTwo or Opensense

CodeTwo, up to 500 users. Its rate drops at set tiers: 10, 25, 50, 75 and 100 licenses, then every 25 up to 250 and every 50 up to 500, and you buy the exact count you need. Opensense lists $1, $3 and $5 per user a month, but each plan is held at $500 a month. That means a 25 person firm and a 450 person firm pay the same $6,000 for the cheapest plan.

The platform license is the number to ask about. Opensense says it adds one on top of the plan and does not publish the amount, so the $6,000 is a floor, not a quote. Get the license figure and the contract term in writing before you compare. On the $3 and $5 plans the minimum stops mattering at 167 and 100 users, and from there the bill rises with headcount.

Count sending mailboxes before you ask either vendor. Shared mailboxes such as billing@ and support@ can count as licenses, and a sales inbox can add several to the number in your HR system.

Read the order form as carefully as the price list. A platform license, an annual term and an auto renewal clause are easy to miss, and an AI contract review pass over the vendor paper catches them before you sign.

When to pick CodeTwo and when to pick Opensense

Pick CodeTwo if

Your company is on Microsoft 365, you have fewer than 500 mailboxes, and the bill per mailbox decides the purchase. You also get a month to month option and a trial of up to 21 days on as many as 1,000 mailboxes.

Pick Opensense if

Marketing and sales run scheduled banner campaigns, you want CRM stage data driving what each recipient sees, or you value a named account manager. Plan on at least $6,000 a year plus the platform license.

When neither fits

You want Outlook and Gmail users on one plan with no add-in, no relay and one flat bill inside a mailbox band. See Google Workspace email signature management and Office 365 email signature management, or read how we compare as a CodeTwo alternative.

Where AutoSignature sits next to both

We are priced as a flat band, so we lose to CodeTwo at small sizes and sit far below the Opensense minimum. Here are the yearly numbers.

100$1,332$6,000$1,788 (Business)
500$4,380$6,000$4,788 (Scale)

At 100 users our Business plan costs $456 more than CodeTwo and $4,212 less than Opensense. At 500 users Scale is $408 above CodeTwo and $1,212 below Opensense Signature. We do not offer CRM driven targeting, so a team that needs it should price Opensense. For the same math across more vendors, see email signature software cost per user.

CodeTwo vs Opensense questions

Is CodeTwo cheaper than Opensense?

Yes, at every size up to 500 users. A 100 user company pays $1,332 a year for CodeTwo Email Signatures 365 and $6,000 for Opensense Signature, because Opensense charges at least $500 a month on every plan. At 25 users the gap is $5,634 a year. At 500 users it narrows to $1,620, and Opensense also adds a platform license it does not price.

What is the Opensense minimum compared with CodeTwo?

Opensense lists a $500 a month minimum on all signature plans, which is $6,000 a year, plus a platform license. CodeTwo has a minimum of 10 licenses and one month, so the smallest yearly order is about $146. Below 500 users on the $1 plan, Opensense bills the minimum, not your headcount.

Does CodeTwo work with Google Workspace like Opensense?

No. Opensense works with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace and reads Azure AD and Google directories. CodeTwo Email Signatures 365 is built for Microsoft 365 only. A company with Gmail mailboxes cannot cover them with CodeTwo, so the price gap does not matter for that buyer.

Which has better support, CodeTwo or Opensense?

Both publish round the clock phone support. CodeTwo offers email and phone 24/7 with a 24 hour response guarantee. Opensense lists US based support with 24x7 phone and a dedicated account manager on every plan. At 100 users the account manager is part of what the $6,000 minimum buys.

Does Opensense have campaign features CodeTwo lacks?

Opensense Pipeline at $3 per user a month adds scheduled banners, A/B tests and account based targeting, and the $5 plan adds stage and recipient targeting with Salesforce, HubSpot and Marketo. Both carry the $500 minimum. If marketing runs banner campaigns in every email, that is what the premium pays for.
