The agreement
Who these terms are between
They are between AutoSignature, the operator of this service, and the company or person using it. If you accept them on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are allowed to do so and the company is bound by them.
The service
AutoSignature manages email signatures for a company: you build templates, connect your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 tenant, and the service fills the templates with directory data and deploys them to the mailboxes you choose.
Your account and your administrators
- You give an email address, confirm it with the code we send, and that address identifies your account.
- You are responsible for who you make an administrator, and for what they do with that access.
- Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has them.
- You are responsible for having the authority to connect the tenant you connect.
Plans and billing
Subscriptions
- Every plan is a subscription: Team, Business and Scale are paid by card, monthly or yearly, and Enterprise is invoiced on agreed terms.
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until you cancel them.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that apply where you are.
- Plans cover a band of mailboxes. If you pass the band, we tell you and the next period moves to the plan that fits.
- Yearly plans are paid for the year. Monthly plans are paid for the month.
Cancellation and refunds
- You cancel at any time, and access continues to the end of the period you already paid for.
- We do not pro-rate the unused part of a period that has started.
- If we discontinue a feature you paid for and it materially changes what you bought, write to us and we sort it out fairly.
Changes to prices
We may change prices for future periods. Current customers are told before a change applies to their renewal, so nobody finds out from a bank statement.
Using the service
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service to send unlawful, misleading or abusive content in signatures, banners or disclaimers.
- Do not use it to impersonate another organisation or to place someone else's trade marks in signatures without their permission.
- Do not attempt to break, overload or probe the service outside a security report sent to us in good faith.
- Do not resell access outside the multi-tenant terms of the Scale and Enterprise plans.
Your content
Templates, logos, banner artwork, disclaimer text and directory data remain yours. You grant us the permission needed to host, render and deploy them as part of providing the service, and nothing beyond that.
Our service
The software, the studio and the rendering engine remain ours. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of them to you.
Data
Personal data
How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy. Where we process personal data on your behalf, we do so under a data processing agreement, which Enterprise customers sign as part of their contract.
Email content
We do not read, store or route the content of your email. The service writes signatures to mailboxes in the tenant you connected.
Availability and liability
Availability
We work to keep the service available and we tell you about planned maintenance. Enterprise plans include an uptime commitment of 99.9 percent with service credits, set out in the agreement. Other plans are provided without a service level commitment.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability in connection with the service is limited to what you paid in the twelve months before the event that caused the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or whose payment has failed and stayed unpaid after we asked. Where it is reasonable, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
The rest
Changes to these terms
When these terms change materially, the date at the top changes and account holders are told by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means the new terms apply.
Governing law and questions
Any dispute is handled under the law of the place where AutoSignature is established, and the courts there have jurisdiction. Questions about these terms go to support@autosignature.com.
