Sigstr alternative, a Sigstr email signature replacement after Terminus

Sigstr became Terminus Email Experiences, and Terminus is now part of DemandScience. The product still runs, but the storefront is gone and the price lives inside a wider contract. If what you need is one correct signature on every mailbox plus banner campaigns by team, AutoSignature does that at a flat price, on Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

The short answer

Sigstr is not shut down, but it no longer exists as a product you can buy on its own terms. Terminus bought it in December 2019, Terminus merged into DemandScience in November 2024, and today sigstr.com and terminus.com both redirect to demandscience.com. Existing customers still sign in to what the terms of service call DemandScience Email Experiences, with no published price. Companies that used Sigstr for recipient targeting tied to a CRM should look at Opensense. Companies that used it for consistent signatures and team banners can move to AutoSignature at $99, $299 or $799 a month, flat, with both mail platforms on every plan.

Who owns Sigstr now, and what that means at renewal

The timeline matters because it explains why your renewal conversation feels different. You bought a signature marketing tool, and you are now renewing a line inside a B2B data and demand generation company.

None of this means the software stopped working. It means three practical things. There is no public roadmap for email signatures specifically. Pricing is negotiated as part of whatever else you buy from DemandScience. And if your company has dropped the rest of the Terminus stack, the signature line is now a small contract with a vendor whose focus is somewhere else. That is usually the moment someone in marketing ops or IT gets asked to find a replacement before the next auto renewal.

What did you actually use Sigstr for? That decides the replacement

Sigstr customers fall into two groups, and they need different products. Be honest about which one you are before you sit through demos.

Group one, signatures that are right, plus a banner by team

You used Sigstr to stop people editing their own signatures, to pull names and titles from the directory, and to put a webinar or hiring banner in front of customers for a few weeks at a time. Targeting meant "the sales team carries this banner", not "prospects at these 200 accounts see this banner".

This is most Sigstr customers under 500 people, and it is exactly what AutoSignature is built for. You do not need an account based marketing platform to do it, and you should not be paying for one.

Group two, recipient level, CRM driven targeting

Your demand generation team fed target account lists from Salesforce or HubSpot into Sigstr, so a prospect in a named account saw one banner and a current customer saw another, and you reported engagement by account.

We do not do that, and we would rather tell you now. The closest like for like product is Opensense on its Pipeline or Complete plans, which carry a $500 a month minimum. We worked through what that costs in Opensense email signature pricing.

What a Sigstr customer gets by moving to AutoSignature

  • A price you can read

$99 a month up to 25 mailboxes, $299 up to 150, $799 up to 600, about 20 percent less on yearly billing. It is on the pricing page, it does not move when you hire, and nobody has to bundle it with anything.

  • Nothing installed on laptops

Sigstr leaned on an Outlook add-in and a Chrome extension for its dynamic content. We write the signature onto the mailbox itself through the Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace admin connections, so it appears in Outlook, Gmail and the phone apps without an extension to keep alive.

  • Banners with a start and an end

Upload the artwork, pick the groups that carry it, set the dates. It appears on the start date and comes out on the end date by itself, with clicks counted per campaign. The detail is on email signature banners.

  • Marketing and IT kept apart

On the Business plan marketing owns banners and schedules, IT owns templates and deployment, and neither can overwrite the other. That was half the reason many teams bought Sigstr in the first place.

  • Gmail and Outlook at equal depth

Sigstr grew up on Gmail. Plenty of its customers now run Microsoft 365 on one side of the business. Both tenants connect to one account and share template sets on every plan, with no second product.

  • Rollback when someone gets it wrong

Every rollout is logged with who changed what. A wrong phone number on 140 signatures is one click back to yesterday's version, not an afternoon of tickets.

Sigstr, Opensense and AutoSignature, side by side

Three ways to replace one product. The Sigstr column describes the product as it has been sold under Terminus and DemandScience; where something is not published, the table says so rather than guessing.

When staying on Sigstr is the right call

You are keeping DemandScience anyway

If your team buys intent data, ads or content syndication from DemandScience and signatures are thrown into that contract, the marginal cost of keeping them may be close to nothing. Ask for the line item before you assume you are overpaying.

Account targeting is working

If your reports show named account engagement from signature banners and the pipeline team uses those numbers, switching to a group targeted tool is a downgrade. Replace it with Opensense or stay, but do not replace it with us.

Your renewal is two years out

If you are locked in, the sensible move is to rebuild your template somewhere else now, test it on one team, and have the migration ready ninety days before the notice period. Nothing forces a rush.

Moving off Sigstr in four steps, with no cutover night

  1. 01

    Export what you have

Screenshot your live signature in Gmail and Outlook, save the banner artwork and links, and note which groups carry which campaign. That is the whole brief for the rebuild.

  2. 02

    Rebuild and connect

Rebuild the template in the console on this page, then give a scoped admin consent in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. Mail is not routed through us.

  3. 03

    Run one team first

Deploy to support or one office while Sigstr still covers everyone else. Check a new message, a reply and a phone. Only then widen, group by group.

  4. 04

    Remove the extension last

Once every group shows the new signature, remove the Sigstr Chrome extension and Outlook add-in through your admin console, or both signatures will stack on the same email.

The platform specific steps are on Google Workspace email signature management and Office 365 email signature management. If the rest of your account based program is being rebuilt at the same time, the paid side can go to an AI media buyer that runs the ad campaigns while employee email carries the same message in the signature.

Sigstr alternative questions

Who owns Sigstr now?

Sigstr was an Indianapolis email signature marketing company bought by Terminus in December 2019 and renamed Terminus Email Experiences. Terminus merged into DemandScience on November 12, 2024, and the combined company trades as DemandScience. The signature product's terms of service now name it DemandScience Email Experiences.

Is Sigstr still available?

The product still runs for existing customers: its sign in page is live and its terms name it DemandScience Email Experiences. What has gone is the public storefront. In September 2026 sigstr.com and terminus.com both redirect to demandscience.com, and there is no standalone product page or published price for email signatures.

How much does Sigstr cost?

Sigstr never published list prices, and neither Terminus nor DemandScience publishes one for Email Experiences today. It is sold by quote, usually as part of a wider DemandScience contract. For comparison, AutoSignature lists $99 a month up to 25 mailboxes, $299 up to 150 and $799 up to 600, flat.

What is the best Sigstr alternative?

It depends on what you used Sigstr for. If you ran recipient level, account based banner targeting tied to Salesforce or HubSpot, Opensense is the closest match. If you used it to keep every signature consistent and to run banners by team, AutoSignature, Exclaimer and CodeTwo do that for far less, and AutoSignature covers Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 on every plan.

The WiseStamp route is laid out on the WiseStamp alternative page.

Does AutoSignature do account based banner targeting like Sigstr?

No. AutoSignature targets banners by sender group, such as sales, support or one office, with scheduled start and end dates and click tracking. It does not change the banner by recipient or by CRM account. If recipient level targeting is the reason you bought Sigstr, shortlist a tool built for it.

Can I move my Sigstr signatures to another tool?

Yes. Rebuild the template once in the new tool, connect Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, deploy to one team while Sigstr still covers the rest, then widen group by group. Remove the Sigstr Chrome extension and Outlook add-in last, once every group shows the new signature.

Does Sigstr work with Outlook?

Sigstr started on Gmail and added Outlook through an add-in, with a Chrome extension handling dynamic content in the browser. Both depend on something installed or enabled per user. A mailbox level signature reaches Outlook on Windows and Mac, Outlook on the web and the mobile apps without either, which is covered on the Outlook signature manager page.
