The trap is Starter. One template means sales, support and the reception desk all send the same block, with no meeting link for sales and no different disclaimer for a regulated team. Most companies that compare Exclaimer with WiseStamp are really pricing Standard at $1.45.

Read it row by row and three patterns show up. First, WiseStamp's base fee makes it the more expensive option for small teams: at 25 mailboxes Grow costs about twice Exclaimer Standard. Second, the $1 per employee is cheaper than Exclaimer's $1.45 per user, so WiseStamp catches up as headcount grows: Basic undercuts Exclaimer Standard from about 45 people, and Grow from about 110. Third, Platform is where the comparison gets honest for any company that wants server-side signatures, and there WiseStamp costs more than Exclaimer Standard up to roughly 400 mailboxes.
Three questions that decide it before the price does
How do signatures reach phones?
If half your team sends from the Outlook or Gmail app on a phone, an add-in or browser extension will not cover them. You need a method that sets the signature on the mailbox or on the server. With WiseStamp that means Platform; with Exclaimer it is part of the normal service.
Will security accept mail routing?
Server-side signatures work by routing outbound mail through the vendor's cloud to stamp it. Many security reviews accept that, some do not, especially in healthcare, legal and finance. If yours is one of the latter, neither vendor's server-side mode is the answer, and a mailbox-written signature is.
Who runs the banners?
Exclaimer Standard includes campaign scheduling and targeting rules; WiseStamp puts campaigns and rules in Grow. If marketing owns the banners, track them like any other channel: send banner clicks with UTM tags into the marketing dashboard that reports every channel side by side, so the signature gets judged on the same numbers as email and paid social.
Who should buy which, stated plainly
Buy Exclaimer if
You have 10 to 150 people, want server-side signatures on every device without a platform fee, and are fine with per user billing. Standard at $1.45 is the realistic plan. It is also the easier choice in a room that wants the best-known name in the category.
Buy WiseStamp if
Your team works mostly in webmail and desktop Outlook, you care most about design and ease for non-technical admins, and you are large enough that $1 per employee beats $1.45 per user. Above about 110 people, Grow is cheaper than Exclaimer Standard.
Look wider if
You are hiring fast and want a bill that does not move with headcount, your security review rejects mail routing, or you want IT and marketing on separate permissions without a top tier. Those are the cases a flat price per company fits better than either.
The third shape, one price for the company
