CodeTwo Google Workspace alternative, signature software that covers Gmail
CodeTwo is a well-built product for Microsoft 365, and it stops there. If your company runs on Google Workspace, or runs both after an acquisition, you need a different tool. Here is what covers Gmail properly, what it costs at four company sizes, and how to test it.

The short answer
CodeTwo Email Signatures 365 does not support Google Workspace. The company said in June 2024 it was working on it, and in September 2026 its product page still covers only Microsoft 365 and Exchange. The practical replacements are Exclaimer (per user, from $1.45 on the plan most teams need), WiseStamp (base fee plus $1 per employee, server-side only on Platform) and AutoSignature (flat per company, both platforms on every plan). For a company on both Microsoft 365 and Workspace, the deciding test is whether the Gmail side works as well as the Outlook side.
Does CodeTwo work with Google Workspace?
No. CodeTwo Email Signatures 365 is built on Microsoft's cloud and applies signatures to mail that passes through a Microsoft 365 tenant. It has been a Microsoft-only company since 2007, it is certified by Microsoft, and it is very good at that job. Its own blog post from June 27, 2024, "CodeTwo working on email signatures for Google Workspace", says the team is working on Gmail support and gives no date. Checked again for this article, the product page lists Microsoft 365 and Office 365 only, with no Google pricing.
That leaves three groups of buyers searching for a replacement. Companies that moved from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace and want to keep the signature setup they had. Companies that were always on Workspace and liked CodeTwo's price per user. And the growing middle: a Microsoft 365 company that acquired a Workspace business, or a Workspace company whose finance team lives in Outlook. For that last group, CodeTwo covers half the staff.

List prices from each vendor's own page, billed yearly. Only tools that manage signatures for the whole company from one admin console are included; a free generator that each employee pastes by hand does not replace CodeTwo.

The detail to check on WiseStamp is the Chrome extension. It only works in Gmail in a desktop browser, so replies from the Gmail app on a phone go out without a signature until you are on Platform at $189 a month plus $1 per employee. What the Google Workspace options cost a month
Annual billing, list price, one employee per mailbox. CodeTwo is shown for reference only, because it is the bill you are replacing, not an option on Workspace.

Leaving CodeTwo usually costs a little more per month, whichever tool you pick, because CodeTwo is among the cheapest per-user tools on the market. Exclaimer Standard is the closest replacement on price and runs about 20 to 50 percent above CodeTwo depending on headcount. At 25 and 50 mailboxes it is also cheaper than we are, and we would rather say that than have you find it in procurement.
A flat price starts to win in two places: around 100 mailboxes, where our Business plan at $239 a month yearly covers you all the way to 150, and whenever the company is hiring, because the bill does not move with each new account. At 200 mailboxes the per-user tools are cheaper again, and the table shows it.
Four things to test in the trial before you replace CodeTwo
Replies from the Gmail app on a phone
Send a reply from the Gmail app on iOS and on Android. This is where extension-based tools fail, and it is the case CodeTwo users are used to having covered, because CodeTwo stamps mail on the server.
Directory fields from Google
Change a job title in the Google Admin console and see how long the signature takes to follow. Also check custom attributes, such as a direct line or a license number, which many teams keep outside the standard fields.
Mixed tenants in one console
If some staff are still on Microsoft 365, connect both and apply one template to a group that spans them. One template, two platforms, one change history is the reason to buy a single tool instead of two.
Security review of mail routing
Server-side tools on Workspace work by routing outbound mail through the vendor's cloud. Some security teams accept that, others do not, and it is easier to ask before rollout than after. Firms that already log vendor reviews in compliance management software should add the signature vendor to that register.
Which CodeTwo alternative fits which company
Pick Exclaimer if
You want the nearest thing to CodeTwo on Workspace, you are between 10 and about 100 people, and per-user billing is fine. Standard is the realistic plan; Starter's single template is too tight for most companies with more than one team.
Pick WiseStamp if
Your team works in Gmail in the browser, design matters more than server-side coverage, and marketing will run the tool. Budget for Platform if replies from phones must carry the signature.
Pick AutoSignature if
You run Workspace and Microsoft 365 side by side, you are hiring, or your security review rejects mail routing. Both platforms are covered on every plan, signatures are written into each mailbox, and the bill is one line for the company.

An administrator grants scoped consent in the Google Admin console. CodeTwo and Google Workspace questions
Does CodeTwo work with Google Workspace?
No. CodeTwo Email Signatures 365 supports Microsoft 365 and on-premises Exchange only. CodeTwo announced in June 2024 that it was working on Google Workspace support, and as of September 2026 its product page still lists no Gmail or Google Workspace option, pricing or release date.
Does CodeTwo work with Gmail?
Not for Google Workspace mailboxes. CodeTwo can add signatures to mail sent from the Gmail app only when the account behind it is a Microsoft 365 mailbox, because the signature is applied in Microsoft's cloud. A company whose mail is hosted by Google needs a different tool.
Does Exclaimer work with Google Workspace?
Yes. Exclaimer lists Google Workspace alongside Microsoft 365 and Exchange on every plan, priced per user from $0.90 a month on Starter and $1.45 on Standard, billed annually with a 10 user minimum. Can Google Workspace manage email signatures centrally?
Only partly. The Admin console can append one fixed footer to outgoing mail per organizational unit, but it cannot fill each person's name, title or phone, and users do not see it while writing. Per-person signatures that are set centrally need a signature management tool that writes to each Gmail account.
What is the best CodeTwo alternative for a company on both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?
Pick a tool that treats both platforms equally on the plan you buy.
